Learning to speak French is like learning to become more sensitive, or to travel through time, or to open your mind to a broader world community. French is the language of France, past, present, and future. It's also an official language of Quebec in Canada; island peoples in the Caribbean, the Pacific, the Mediterranean, and the Indian Oceans; and scattered nations that were once French territories in Africa and South America. To learn to speak French is to become part of a rich cultural heritage. It's a useful, practical, valuable acquisition. As a kid in Arizona, I thought that French was for sissies. It seemed that girls wanted to know French because it was romantic, and romance was yucky. Boys that wanted to learn French were either suspect in their manliness or hopelessly devoted to girls. Since that time I have had a change of heart. I have learned several languages, but I still want to learn to speak French. Web Design - Small business custom website from EverestWebDesign.com.
