Growing in popularity among Pimsleur courses is Pimsleur Arabic (an introductory note about the Pimsleur Method is given below). You can get the Arabic courses for Eastern or Egyptian Arabic. Each contains 16 hours of instruction in 30 lessons. They are designed to provide native-like pronunciation, basic survival skills, and phrases for travel and courtesy. Each course retails for about $345.00 US on CD, though discounts are available. The price for the same Arabic courses on BookChip is $160 each. Copies can also be found occasionally on eBay and other auction sites. They retain their price well, especially the courses bought new on CD or Book Chip. The Arabic courses on cassette are relatively cheap at auction, if you can find them. The Pimsleur Arabic program, in all its forms of media, is available from PimsleurDirect.com. All the same materials are also available from CheapPimsleur.com at substantially reduced prices in most cases. The $345 Arabic courses on CD, for example, can be bought for $154 recently. This site doesn't yet offer the courses on BookChip.
