One of the more popular Pimsleur courses is Pimsleur Italian (see below for an explanation of the Pimsleur Method.) The Comprehensive courses, which come in 3 levels, contain lessons each. Each course typically retails for about $300.00 US, though discounts are available. Copies can also be found occasionally on eBay and other auction sites. They retain their price well, especially the new courses on CD or Book Chip. The Italian courses on cassette are available cheap at auction. More importantly, "graduates" of Pimsleur speak Italian well. A recent check of prices on eBay and CheapPimsleur.com show the following (all prices in US dollars):
