There is Pimsleur Brazilian Portuguese and Pimsleur Continental Portuguese. Pimsleur Portuguese is a popular language course that uses the Pimsleur Method (see below for a description of the Pimsleur Method). Each comes in three courses of 30 lessons each. Each course typically retails for $139.95 US on BookChip, though discounts are available. The cost for the same courses on CD is $345 each (Ouch!). Copies can also be found occasionally on eBay and other auction sites. They retain their price well, especially the new courses on CD or Book Chip. The Portuguese courses on cassette are not as inexpensive as they ought to be. The Discount seller Cheap Pimsleur (Cheappimsleur.com) offers the Brazilian Portuguese course on BookChip for $155 each for $389 for all three bundled together with the Audiofy player. Each course on CD is $154. Amazon.com doesn't yet offer Bookchip version but has the CD versions of the Brazilian courses at prices ranging from $116 to $170 used (recent pricing).
